In 10A caravan mode, the charging booster allows batteries in a caravan or trailer to be recharged via the connector. In this mode, the charging current is limited to a maximum of 10A. The intelligent IVT charging booster is a switched-mode step-up\/step-down converter that compensates for fluctuating alternator voltage. As soon as an alternator signal is present at the charging booster (D+), it automatically switches on. The connected auxiliary battery is then charged independently of the alternator voltage. The switch to trickle charging occurs automatically and is dependent on the current.
