ACT industrial sensor cables (actor cables) feature a TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) sheath and are therefore highly resistant to mechanical stresses such as movement in a chain. The connectors are molded TPE, and the protection rating is IP67. The super-flexible SF/UTP cable features individual cores composed of 28 copper wires, resulting in a diameter of AWG26. This design makes the cable more flexible than a standard AWG24/7 patch cable. Twisted cores are composed of thin, uninsulated wires twisted together. The more wires in a twisted core, the greater the flexibility of the wire.
