It can be used with the Agara Home app for iOS and Android. If you intend to use it as a HomeKit device, the Aqara Hub is required. The Aqara Hub then acts as a HomeKit bridge in conjunction with the Aqara Home app. This means that devices connected to the Aqara Hub can be controlled with the HomeKit app. If you also want to control the device remotely, not from your home Wi-Fi/LAN, you will also need an Apple TV with tvOS 10.2 or later, an iPad with iOS 10.3 or later, or a HomePod as a home hub.
