The VC 272 can measure temperatures using K-type thermocouples and, like all devices in the VC-200 series, is optimized for training. Razor-sharp display: Impressively clear EBTN display in both bright and dark environments. With a 7.9 cm (3.1 inch) display diagonal, all digits and symbols are displayed significantly larger, thus preventing reading errors. Measuring socket monitoring: Depending on the selected measurement quantity, the correct connection of the measuring sockets is shown on the display. This is a great help for beginners and students to avoid incorrect operation. If an incorrect connection is made despite the display, a warning tone sounds. Safety during battery replacement: To change batteries or fuses, the housing must be opened. For safety reasons, the measuring leads should not be connected during this process. Unlike simple, conventional measuring devices, this instrument is designed so that the housing cannot be opened while test leads are connected. Test leads can only be reconnected after the housing is closed, as the test sockets are mechanically locked. Safety is ensured by a wear indicator: The test lead is double-insulated with two colors. If the first layer of insulation is damaged, a differently colored layer of insulation is exposed. This is ideal for training devices, allowing for the timely replacement of worn test leads.
