The MD500 series helicopters belong to the category of light civilian and military multi-purpose helicopters capable of carrying a maximum of four people. Developed from the Hughes 500 since 1976, Boeing currently produces three different models: the MD500E, MD520N, and MD530F. This scale replica of the well-known helicopter is indistinguishable from the original and impresses visually with numerous small details such as rivets, simulated door frames, LED lighting, and the 5-blade rotor head made of aluminum. The swashplate and main rotor shaft are also made of aluminum. Blade holders and linkages are made of high-strength plastic, allowing for smooth, play-free movement of all components. The fuselage and chassis of the helicopter are constructed from impact-resistant ABS plastic, significantly increasing the material's durability. The main and tail motors are brushless, generating ample power for dynamic and powerful flight maneuvers. The integrated gyro electronics stabilize the model in all attitudes, providing a secure flying experience that will delight even beginners. Hovering behavior is reminiscent of a coaxial helicopter. In normal flight, the system operates like a speed- or pitch-controlled helicopter. However, the autostabilization immediately reactivates when the remote control sticks are returned to the center position.
