Coma corrector Baader MPCC Mark III Photo + Visual 2
Because of its advanced design, the 2" Mark III Multi-Purpose Visual/Photographic Coma Corrector with 1.25" Eyepiece Holder for Newton Telescopes is a game-changer for both visual and photographic applications. This innovative device effectively eradicates coma across the entire photographic field, without altering the focal length. The Mark III Coma Corrector boasts a proprietary lens design, featuring our Phantom Group wideband multicoating on all air-to-glass surfaces. This unique coating ensures maximum transmission, while minimizing scatter and reflections across a broad spectral range, from ultraviolet (UV) to near-infrared (NIR). While the original MPCC was designed for an f/ratio of f4.5 to f6, the Mark III outperforms its predecessor, delivering exceptional results even down to f3.5. This means stars remain pinpoints across the field, enhancing your visual experience and making it easier to capture stunning images. The 2" (M48) male filter thread on the eyepiece-facing side further simplifies visual use. For photographers, the base-element 2858400A is designed for use with a DSLR and a standard T-ring. It can be used over the T-2 thread on all standard T-rings. For cameras with larger sensors, such as full-format DSLRs, the T-2 thread can be removed to free an M48 thread, increasing the free aperture from 38 to 44 mm. The M48 spacer ring for MPCC III / Protective EOS T-ring can be connected directly to the Protective CANON DSLR T-ring, ensuring not only sharp stars in the entire picture but also illuminating large sensors. The 2" Mark III Coma Corrector is also versatile, with the V-1 set 2454803 containing the necessary adaptors for most eyepieces or cameras with a 1.25 "socket. The basic element of the MPCC can be upgraded at any time for visual use, with all necessary parts available separately. This makes the 2" Mark III Multi-Purpose Visual/Photographic Coma Corrector a must-have tool for any serious astronomer or astrophotographer.
