The electrochemical sensor used in the Dräger Alcotest 6000 is characterized by short reaction times, highly precise measurement results, and a long lifespan. Alcohol tests are possible with this device in temperatures ranging from -5 to +50 °C and even with very high alcohol concentrations – regardless of whether the measurement is active (the user blows into the mouthpiece) or passive (measuring the alcohol content of the ambient air). Due to its high quality, we were able to classify the Alcotest 6000 in accuracy class 1+, the same class as the preliminary breathalyzer devices used by the police! Depending on the configuration, the Dräger Alcotest 6000 can be used within just a few seconds of being switched on, and the measurement result is displayed after three to ten seconds, depending on the breath alcohol concentration. Navigation is self-explanatory; all measurement functions can be selected with a single button: The large, green button in the center is used to perform a measurement, while the two menu buttons can be used for advanced functions, such as displaying the last 500 test results. The large, backlit display of the Dräger Alcotest 6000 allows for easy reading even in poor lighting and visibility conditions. LEDs and audible signals assist you in operating the device, which, despite its precise and high-quality technology, has a handy format and fits in any jacket pocket.
