Test Kit Phenol Red RAPID Tablets
Phenol red is used for pH measurement. The tablet produces characteristic color changes when dissolved in the water sample. The pH value is important for the disinfecting effect of water care products. It can also cause corrosion or precipitation, thereby damaging materials. The Lovibond® tablets contain thiosulfate to compensate for the interfering influence of chlorine on the measurement during swimming pool water analyses. Furthermore, the carbonate content, temperature, and buffering capacity of the water sample can influence the measurement and must therefore also be taken into account. The fast-dissolving tablet has been developed for use in rapid tests such as pool testers, test kits, or comparators.
