A cylinder protruding from the door lock presents an attack surface. The cylinder can be pulled out and the door opened. To resist this, the D66PS is equipped with the Pre-Snap feature. This has a programmed breaking point where the cylinder breaks, so that the part remaining in the lock stays intact.
