When exploring the night sky, the StarFi Wi-Fi Telescope Adapter is your key to a seamless, wireless experience. This innovative device, developed by iOptron, transforms your telescope mount into a wirelessly controllable unit, offering a new level of convenience and flexibility. With the StarFi adapter, you can effortlessly control your telescope mount using your preferred planetarium software via the iOptron ASCOM driver and Commander. This feature allows you to navigate the cosmos with ease, right from your computer. But the connectivity doesn't stop there. The StarFi Wi-Fi adapter also enables you to connect your mount to your smartphone or tablet. This means you can use popular software like Sky Safari to guide your stargazing journey, whether you're using an iOS or Android device. The StarFi Wi-Fi adapter supports 802.11b/g/n, and can be configured in either AP (default) or STAtion mode. For added security, the device also offers password protection. This versatile adapter is compatible with a range of iOptron mounts, including CEM60/CEM60-EC/iEQ45 Pro/iEQ30 Pro, iEQ45/iEQ30 w/8407 (requires a DB9 RS232 male to male connector), iEQ45 w/8406 (requires a DB9 RS232 male to male connector and an iOptron RS232-RJ9 cable 8412), ZEQ25/CEM25, and SmartEQ/Pro (requires an external 5V power source. A USB power cable is available). Please note that the adapter does not support Cube/MiniTower/SmartStar PR mounts. The StarFi Wi-Fi Telescope Adapter may also work with mounts from other manufacturers, provided you have a DB9 RS232 male to male connector and an iOptron RS232-RJ9 cable 8412.
