Both versions utilize the same EC-2502 electronics unit and power supplies, and both versions have the same setup procedure. The versions differ primarily in the type of panels used, additional components in the video version (video panels, switches, distributors, and monitors), and the installation method. Item description: The EC-2502 electronics unit is a microprocessor-based device that controls the operation of the entire intercom system. Previous versions of digital intercoms used two types of electronics units: one for the main entrance and one for the subordinate entrance. The CD-2502 intercom uses a single electronic cassette, in which the installer defines the input type it will support. The electronic cassette is powered by a two-winding AC power supply; one winding powers the electronic cassette and the external panel, and the other powers the electric strike. The electronic cassette contains potentiometers for adjusting the speaker and microphone gain, as well as the line balance. Jumpers in the electronic cassette allow you to configure the type of entry locking device (electric strike or electromagnetic lock). Electromagnetic locks (locks) often experience residual magnetism, which can cause difficulty opening doors (gates), so the electronic cassette is equipped with a system to eliminate this undesirable phenomenon. Activating the lock demagnetization mechanism when an electric strike is in use may cause it to malfunction. The cassette contains INIT and RESET buttons, used, among other things, to restore the intercom's default settings. The EC-2502 electronics cassette can be used with a battery, which ensures correct operation of the intercom in the event of a power outage.
