XS12R-C Reversible Electric Strike with Sliding Latch 12V DC The XS-C series of electric strikes features an integrated sliding latch cover, allowing the electric strike to be installed without widening the opening in the door frame for the swinging striker. Commonly used in private, office, and public buildings, for aluminum, steel, wooden, and PVC doors. The XS-C series is particularly recommended for rebate-free doors. The sliding latch (lock tongue guide) ensures smooth operation of the lock tongue while protecting the door frame from damage. It also prevents the lock tongue from falling into the space between the electric strike and the door frame, which can cause the door to jam. The reversible electric strike operates in the opposite way to a standard strike – it is normally open, and when powered, it closes. Features: .
