AQUA Ring S Digital Passive Infrared Detector for Ceiling Mounting. The AQUA Ring S is a digital passive infrared detector in an oval housing, designed for ceiling mounting. It is ideal for locations where wall mounting is difficult or even impossible, such as rooms with fully glazed walls or display cases. It can also be used in large rooms, as its design allows for protection of a large area. The AQUA Ring S is equipped with a dual pyroelectric element and a digital motion detection algorithm, providing good immunity to interference and false alarms. Three-stage sensitivity adjustment allows for adapting the device's operating characteristics to the requirements of the user and the protected facility. It also has a built-in pre-alarm function and a tamper switch to protect against opening the housing. The detector is powered by a 24 V DC or AC source, making it suitable for installation in systems operating on this voltage (other than the standard 12 V). The detector's primary function is to detect intrusions within the protected area. However, it can also be used for building automation functions. When the alarm system is not armed, the sensor can control, for example, turning on lights, as well as opening or closing doors.
