An outdoor card and key fob reader designed for use with the RACS 5 Terminal access control and building automation system. This terminal allows for user recognition not only via 13.56 MHz MIFARE Ultralight/Classic/DESFire/PLUS proximity cards, but also via a mobile device (phone) equipped with NFC or Bluetooth technology. The reader features two function keys marked Bell and Light, which can also be used for purposes other than their associated symbols. Bluetooth identification can have a reading range of up to several meters. Other methods require the identifier to be held within a few centimeters of the reader. The device meets an IP65 ingress protection rating.
