Esbit Food Thermos - an aesthetically pleasing, ergonomic design. And it maintains temperature perfectly! Made of the highest quality stainless steel, it's coated with a special matte black non-slip coating to prevent accidental dropping, which could happen if you hold it with a cold hand or glove. The thermos' dimensions have also been carefully selected for ease of handling. Regardless of the capacity, it has the same diameter, differing only in height. As with virtually all thermoses, its double-layer construction maintains temperature, but in the case of the Food Jug, the inner layer is additionally coated with a layer of silver. This has a two-fold effect: it enhances the thermos' thermal properties; it has antibacterial properties and facilitates the removal of any deposits. To maximize the benefits of its food thermos, Esbit recommends formatting the thermos before use. If you plan to transport hot items, fill the thermos with hot water for about 4 minutes, then pour out the water and add the food. Do the same for cold items (fill the thermos with very cold water). Another undeniable advantage of the Food Jug thermos is the safety valve on the cap. Pressing it (before opening the thermos!) releases excess pressure (which often happens after placing hot food inside). This makes opening the thermos easier, while also virtually eliminating the risk of scalding yourself with hot steam or accidentally exploding the cap during transport. The cap itself can also be used as a bowl.
