Description ACT Industrial sensor cables (actuator cables) feature a TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) sheath and are therefore highly resistant to mechanical stress, such as movement in a chain. The connectors are molded TPE, and the protection rating is IP67. Superflex SF/UTP cables have each individual conductor composed of 28 copper wires, which together form a diameter of AWG26. This makes the cable more flexible than, for example, a standard AWG24/7 patch cable. Stranded conductors are composed of thin, uninsulated wires twisted together. The more wires in a stranded cable, the greater its flexibility.
