ACT industrial sensor cables (actor cables) feature a TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) sheath and are therefore highly resistant to mechanical stresses such as movement in a chain. The connectors are molded TPE and have an IP67 rating. The Superflex SF/UTP cable features individual conductors composed of 28 copper wires, resulting in a diameter of AWG26. This design makes the cable more flexible than a standard AWG24/7 patch cable. The twisted conductors consist of thin, uninsulated copper wires twisted together. The more strands in a twisted conductor, the greater the cable's flexibility.
