ACT industrial sensor cables (actor cables) feature a TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) jacket and are therefore highly resistant to mechanical stresses such as movement in a chain. The connectors are molded TPE and the protection rating is IP67. The Superflex Xtreme cable features individual conductors composed of 19 copper strands, with a diameter of AWG22. This design makes the cable more flexible than a standard AWG24/7 patch cable. Twisted conductors are composed of thin, uninsulated wires twisted together. The more strands in a twisted conductor, the greater the flexibility of the wire.
