This converter by Delock allows the installation of an M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD with Key M or an M.2 SATA SSD with Key B in the formats 2280, 2260, 2242 and 2230. When using an NVMe SSD, the converter connects to the U.2 interface, while for a SATA SSD it connects to the SATA interface. The converter can be inserted into a 2.5" slot of a HDD/SSD docking station. The special feature of this converter is that no tools are required to install the M.2 SSD. The SSD is inserted into the slot and secured to the board with a rubber grommet. The upper part, which is made of metal, is connected to the installed SSD via a thermal pad inside. This ensures good cooling of the SSD.
