The Homey Energy Dongle is designed for European meters and provides Homey with real-time energy data. It uses the ever-expanding P1 standard to monitor the meter's electricity and gas usage. Simply plug the Homey Energy Dongle into the P1 port of the meter and connect it to your Wi-Fi network using the Homey mobile app. In addition to reading energy data, the Homey Energy Dongle also includes a P1 pass-through. This allows the user to connect another P1 device, such as a plug-in charging point, load balancer or other dongle, without any hassle or additional costs. The Homey Energy Dongle can be powered via the P1 port with modern meters. For older P1 meters or if a pass-through is used, it can be powered via USB-C. A USB-A to USB-C cable is included in the package for this purpose. It can be connected to any USB-A port or power adapter to power the Homey Energy Dongle and any pass-through device.
