ACT industrial sensor cables (actor cables) feature a TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) sheath and are therefore highly resistant to mechanical stresses, such as movement in a chain. The connectors are molded TPE, and the ingress protection rating is IP67. The Superflex SF/UTP cable features single conductors composed of 28 copper strands, resulting in a cable diameter of AWG26. This design makes the cable more flexible than a standard AWG24/7 patch cable. Twisted conductors consist of thin, uninsulated wires twisted together. The more strands in a twisted conductor, the greater the cable's flexibility.
