The ACE Instruments AFM-5 is an easy-to-use breathalyzer with an electrochemical sensor, designed for use with a smartphone. Before conducting the test, the Alcofind app must be downloaded from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) and installed on your smartphone. The ACE Instruments AFM-5 measures the alcohol concentration in your breath and calculates the blood alcohol concentration (BAC) from this measurement. When using the breathalyzer in conjunction with the app, the measured results are displayed on your smartphone as a four-digit number with three decimal places and are directly interpretable (e.g., the display shows 0.36 as 0.36 per mille). All measurements obtained with this breathalyzer are for guidance only and are not legally binding. Breathalyzer tests should be conducted using attachable mouthpieces (a new mouthpiece should be used for each test). The electrochemical sensor cell promises extremely accurate, fast, and consistent measurements of the alcohol content in your breath. The breathalyzer connects via Bluetooth to almost any smartphone. You can easily download the app, called Alcofind, from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) and start testing. The free app allows you to perform various analyses, such as testing your breath alcohol level with friends, sharing your results, and checking your breathalyzer readings.
