Developed as a small truck in 1945 and manufactured by Daimler-Benz, the engine supplier at the time, since 1950, the all-wheel-drive Unimog workhorse, with its enormous ground clearance thanks to portal axles, is primarily used in agriculture and forestry. It is one of the most produced vehicles of its kind worldwide. Due to its popularity and versatility, this model series is still in production today. The Unimog is also a popular choice for many militaries around the globe. Its off-road capabilities and climbing ability of up to 44 degrees are legendary. It can ford water up to 800 mm deep, and even 1200 mm with a snorkel. The axle articulation is 30°. Equipped with a cardan shaft drive, 4WD, locked axles, and two selectable speed ranges, the vehicle performs well on any terrain. The portal axles with leaf springs provide increased ground clearance and, in conjunction with the powerful 260 high-torque brushed motor, which engages a multi-reduction and protected gearbox, delivers ample power. The 17g steering servo with metal gears allows for precise control of the RC Unimog, even on rough terrain. The metal frame ensures maximum durability. The model also features LED lighting controlled via the remote.
