Affordable CAN interface family for USB ports. The IXXAT USB-to-CAN V2 is the next generation of the proven IXXAT USB-to-CAN interfaces. With up to two CAN high-speed channels, one CAN low-speed channel, and one LIN channel, a wide range of applications are covered, depending on the device variant, in both industrial and automotive sectors. Thanks to the use of high-performance hardware and a USB 2.0 Hi-Speed connection (480 Mbit/s), the interfaces achieve very high data throughput with minimal latency and low power consumption. This enables reliable, lossless sending and receiving of messages in CAN networks with high transmission rates and bus loads. Furthermore, the messages are time-stamped and can be filtered and cached directly in the USB-to-CAN V2. The IXXAT driver packages for Windows and Linux (VCI and ECI) support the new USB-to-CAN V2 in their current versions, thus enabling its use in existing applications without software modifications. Likewise, the APIs for CANopen and SAE J1939 support the new USB-to-CAN V2 device family. The USB-to-CAN V2 is available in various versions; in this particular version, the CAN connection is implemented as a Sub-D9 connector. Due to its extremely attractive price and compact design, the USB-to-CAN V2 interface is ideal for use in series production.
