When temperatures rise in summer, the COOL HOME wireless thermometer also performs at its best: A unique alarm function provides ventilation recommendations to keep the room temperature as cool as possible. An internal sensor measures the indoor temperature, while an outdoor sensor simultaneously determines the outside temperature. If it's cooler outside than inside, the "Open Window" symbol appears, and you're advised to open the windows and let in the fresher air. If the temperature inside is lower, the warm air should stay outside, and the recommendation is to close the windows. You can set an alarm with two different volume levels to be alerted to ventilate or close the windows at the right time. This keeps the rooms at a maximum of cool without the energy consumption of an air conditioner. Since this function is only useful in summer, it can simply be deactivated, and the window symbol in the middle will disappear. Even without the ventilation recommendation, many useful and exciting functions remain: The compact device receives the current time via the DCF 77 signal. The date also appears without prior setting. In addition to the indoor and outdoor temperatures, the temperature trend is displayed in two different levels.
