Transfer speeds reach up to 1 TB/hr on LTO-5 media, supporting scalable backup and restore operations. From LTO-3 onward, WORM functionality enables permanent, tamperproof archives, while LTO-4 adds AES-256 encryption for secure data protection. LTO-5 further simplifies media handling with the Linear Tape File System for plug-and-play usability.
