The well-known Black Hawk is a medium-weight transport helicopter that has been in series production by Sikorsky Aircraft since 1977. The designation UH-60 is used, among other things, for export versions, and the helicopter's primary area of operation is military, specifically air and sea search and rescue. Characteristic features include the tail rotor mounted at an angle to the fuselage and its robust construction, even under harsh conditions and gunfire.
