The cosPhi monitor is used to detect underload. The response threshold and response time are adjustable. It can also be used in conjunction with a frequency converter (frequency 2 to 200 Hz). Monitoring is achieved by detecting the phase shift between current and voltage. This phase angle shifts with the load on a motor. Function settings via bridge S1-S2-S3: S1-S2 open under underload, relay de-energized; S1-S2 bridged under underload, relay energized; S1-S3 open with fault memory; S1-S3 bridged without fault memory. The module can be remotely unlocked via a normally open contact on S1-S3. With fault memory enabled (no bridge across S1-S3), the fault message remains until acknowledged or until the supply voltage is interrupted.
