The Ecowitt Weather Station, powered by Shelly, is a state-of-the-art Wi-Fi weather station that provides a wide range of accurate local weather data. It communicates via Bluetooth and integrates seamlessly with the Shelly Smart Control app and numerous third-party integrations. This weather station enables automation based on current weather conditions, meaning, for example, awnings can be automatically retracted when the wind picks up, or irrigation systems can be deactivated when rain is detected. Measured values include temperature, humidity, dew point, wind direction, wind speed, wind gusts, air pressure, precipitation amount, light intensity, and UV index. The station is solar-powered and has a backup power supply via two AA batteries. An optional 12 VDC power supply with a heating element can also be used to prevent the rain sensor and solar panel from freezing.
