The Intex 26690GS QS1600 Plus is a 12V saltwater system designed to convert salt into natural chlorine for effective algae, bacteria, and fungus control in swimming pools. When special pool salt is added, the system notably improves water quality, resulting in softer, clearer water while significantly reducing irritation to the skin and eyes. It requires up to 60% less chlorine for cleanliness, minimizing the strong chlorine odor typical in conventional systems. Users can control the system remotely via a WiFi app, allowing them to set schedules and receive notifications when salt levels are low. The built-in 24-hour timer automatically regulates chlorine production. A redox sensor monitors the disinfection power of the water for efficient operation, and a flow protection feature immediately shuts the system down if the filter pump is off to prevent damage. The QS1600 Plus is compatible with Intex filter pumps featuring a minimum capacity of 3,407 liters per hour or 4 m3 per hour for sand filter pumps, and it includes 32 mm and 38 mm connectors for widespread compatibility with standard pools.
