The VOLTCRAFT KT-10 data cable mapper provides a quick and easy overview of the condition of data cables and routes. The KT-10 identifies common wiring faults such as open circuits, short circuits, split pairs, and reversed/crossed wires. The mapper tests all common cable types from Cat 3 to Cat 7a up to a length of 305 m. The device detects whether shielding is present and correctly connected at both ends. For test runs (e.g., permanently installed cables), there is a detachable remote unit that is conveniently stored in the base of the main unit. Additional function (in conjunction with an existing LSG-4 tone generator): Precise localization: Three different tone patterns help you pinpoint cable faults exactly (by contact, by wire pair, all contacts).
