The 3M HDCW heat-shrink repair sleeve is designed for the quick and reliable repair of damaged cable sheaths on low- and medium-voltage cables. Its inner surface is coated with a hot-melt adhesive, providing a watertight seal on all plastic and metal sheaths. An external coating with temperature-indicator paint changes color to signal the end of the shrinking process. A stainless steel metal strip serves as the closure and can be removed once the sleeve has cooled. The repair sleeve is made of cross-linked polyolefin. It is UV-resistant and halogen-free.
