PRODUCT INFORMATION Fiber optic patch cables are defined components of an internationally standardized structured cabling system according to ISO/IEC 11801. Historically, many different connectors have been used in structured cabling, of which the following are still relevant: LC, SC, E2000, MPO/MTP. A fiber optic patch cable represents the shortest connection between a passive cabling port and an active network port, or a point-to-point connection between two active network ports. Quality grades allow for a qualitative differentiation of fiber optic patch cables depending on the network service. Synonymous terms for patch cables include: jumper cables, adapter cables, connection cables, hybrid cables, jumpers, and connecting cords. Features of EFB fiber optic patch cables include: strain relief reinforced with aramid yarn; halogen-free and flame-retardant jacket according to IEC-60754-2, IEC-60332-1, and IEC-61034; and EFB fiber optic connectors meet the minimum quality class Grade B/2 according to IEC-61753-1 for single-mode and graded fiber optics.
