The Satel ASD-200 is a wireless smoke and heat detector that detects early signs of fire. It operates as part of the SATEL ABAX2/ABAX two-way wireless system. ABAX2 radio communication is AES encrypted. The detector is equipped with a photoelectric visible smoke sensor located in a special measuring chamber, whose unique design ensures high sensitivity. A precise Hexamesh stainless steel filter prevents dirt and small insects from entering the chamber. The ASD-200 also has a thermal sensor that responds to threshold crossings or sudden temperature increases. The alarm is signaled acoustically and visually. The ASD-200 is characterized by low power consumption and battery status monitoring. It is powered by a CR123A 3 V battery with an expected operating time of up to 2 years. Additionally, the ECO option (ABAX2 only) allows for up to four-fold extension of the operating time without having to replace the battery. The device has tamper protection against opening the enclosure. The ASD-200 is compatible with ABAX2 system controllers (ACU-220 and ACU-280) and the ARU-200 repeater, as well as with ABAX system controllers (ACU-120, ACU-270, ACU-250 and ACU-100), the INTEGRA 128-WRL control panel and the ARU-100 repeater. Remote device software updates are possible.
