With a saltwater system, you no longer need to use chlorine. The system converts the salt into chlorine. The salt content of your pool water is approximately 10 percent of seawater. Salt is composed of two elements: sodium and chlorine. As the salt water flows past the built-in electrolysis cell, chlorine is produced by the saltwater system. This chlorine kills algae and bacteria. If you use chlorine tablets, various harmful particles remain in the water. With this saltwater system, these particles do not remain behind. The timer ensures a regular chlorine release, but to use the saltwater system, you need a filter pump with a capacity of at least 2,650 liters of water per hour. This pump has a capacity for pools with a volume of up to 8,372 liters. Comes with a pool hose adapter, making it suitable for 32 - 38 mm. It is important that pure salt is used in the system. If there is iodine in the salt, you will get yellow water!
