Natural activated carbon beads, made from coconuts, prevent chlorine and its derivatives, as well as trace contaminants such as herbicides, pesticides, and pharmaceutical residues (if present in tap water), from entering the filtered water. Ion exchanger beads reduce metals, such as lead and copper, and soften the water. The additional high-performance filter mesh provides 4x better contaminant retention compared to the previous MAXTRA+ filter (30 µm particle size).
