ACT industrial sensor cables (actor cables) feature a TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) sheath and are therefore highly resistant to mechanical stresses, such as movement in a chain. The connectors are molded TPE and have an IP67 rating. The Ultraflex Xtreme cable features individual cores composed of 52 copper strands, which together form a diameter of AWG23. This design makes the cable more flexible than a standard AWG24/7 patch cable. The twisted conductors are composed of thin, uninsulated strands of wire twisted together. The more strands in a twisted conductor, the greater the flexibility of the wire.
