ACT industrial sensor cables (actor cables) feature a TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) sheath and are therefore highly resistant to mechanical stresses, such as movement in a chain. The connectors are molded TPE, and the protection rating is IP67. The Ultraflex Xtreme cable features individual conductors composed of 52 copper strands that together form a diameter of AWG23. This makes the cable more flexible than, for example, a standard AWG24/7 patch cable. Twisted conductors are composed of thin, uninsulated wire strands twisted together. The more strands in a twisted conductor, the greater the flexibility of the wire.
