ACT industrial sensor cables (actor cables) feature a TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) jacket, making them highly resistant to mechanical stresses, such as movement in a chain. The connectors are injection-molded with TPE, and the ingress protection rating is IP67. The super-flexible SF/UTP cable has individual cores composed of 28 copper strands, resulting in a diameter of AWG26. This design makes the cable more flexible than a standard AWG24/7 patch cable. The twisted conductors consist of thin, uninsulated wire strands twisted together; the more strands in a twisted conductor, the greater the flexibility of the wire.
