ROLINE OM5 quality fiber optic patch cables with connectors featuring particularly low insertion loss offer high-performance fiber optic cabling. These very low-loss OM5 fiber cables ensure excellent quality at high bandwidths of up to 100 Gbit/s for Ethernet, Fibre Channel, and OIF applications over distances of up to 150 meters. They extend the system's cost-effectiveness to extremely long backbones and medium-length campus backbones. The material and casing are ROLINE quality. These are duplex cables with 50/125 m OM5 multimode fiber type. The cables are equipped with "low-loss" connectors, which achieve particularly good values in terms of insertion and return loss. For comparison: the typical attenuation of a standard LC connector is 0.5 dB, while the typical attenuation of a low-loss LC connector is only 0.15 dB. The connectors are polished UPC, with an outer diameter of 2.0 mm and a bandwidth of 4700 MHz-km, based on a specific implementation of EMBC requirements. The casing is green.
