ACT industrial sensor cables (actor cables) feature a TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) sheath and are therefore highly resistant to mechanical stresses such as movement in a chain. The connectors are molded TPE and have an IP67 rating. The Superflex Xtreme cable features single conductors composed of 19 copper strands that together form a diameter of AWG22. This makes the cable more flexible than, for example, a standard AWG24/7 patch cable. Twisted conductors are composed of thin, uninsulated copper wires twisted together. The more strands in a twisted conductor, the greater the cable's flexibility.
