ACT industrial sensor cables (actor cables) feature a TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) sheath and are therefore highly resistant to mechanical stresses such as movement in a chain. The connectors are molded TPE, and the protection rating is IP67. Each individual conductor of the Superflex SF/UTP cable is composed of 28 copper wires that together form a diameter of AWG26. This makes the cable more flexible than, for example, a standard AWG24/7 patch cable. Twisted conductors are composed of thin, uninsulated copper wires twisted together. The more strands in a twisted conductor, the greater the cable's flexibility.
