ACT industrial sensor cables (actuator cables) feature a TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) sheath and are therefore highly resistant to mechanical stresses such as movement in a chain. The connectors are molded TPE, and the protection rating is IP67. Each individual conductor of the Ultraflex cable is composed of 41 copper strands, which together form a diameter of AWG24. This makes the cable more flexible than, for example, a standard AWG24/7 patch cable. Twisted conductors are composed of uninsulated wire strands twisted together. The more strands in a twisted conductor, the greater the flexibility of the wire.
