ACT industrial sensor cables (actor cables) feature a TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) jacket, making them highly resistant to mechanical stresses, such as movement in a chain. The connectors are molded TPE, and the ingress protection rating is IP67. The Superflex SF/UTP cable features individual conductors composed of 28 copper strands, which together form a diameter of AWG26. This design makes the cable more flexible than a standard AWG24/7 patch cable. The twisted conductors are composed of thin, uninsulated wire strands twisted together. The more strands in a twisted conductor, the greater the flexibility of the wire.
