ACT industrial sensor cables (actor cables) feature a TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) jacket, making them highly resistant to mechanical stresses, such as movement in a chain. The connectors are injection-molded with TPE, and the ingress protection rating is IP67. Superflex Xtreme cables have each individual conductor composed of 19 copper strands, resulting in a diameter of AWG22. This design makes the cable more flexible than a standard AWG24/7 patch cable. Twisted conductors are composed of thin, uninsulated wire strands twisted together. The more strands in a twisted conductor, the greater the flexibility of the wire.
