ACT industrial sensor cables (actor cables) feature a TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) jacket and are therefore highly resistant to mechanical stresses such as movement in a chain. The connectors are molded TPE and have an IP67 rating. The Superflex Xtreme SF/UTP cable features individual cores composed of 19 copper wires, resulting in a diameter of AWG22. This design makes the cable more flexible than a standard AWG24/7 patch cable. Twisted cores are composed of thin, uninsulated copper wires twisted together. The more strands in a twisted core, the greater the cable's flexibility.
