The Voltcraft SEM5000 fits between the power outlet and the load and quickly and accurately displays energy consumption or electricity costs in the selected currency. How much energy is consumed over a given period of time? The SEM 5000 is an energy logger. It uses the same technology for highly accurate energy cost measurement as all devices in the proven Voltcraft SEM series. However, this device was specifically designed for use in companies that do not allow connection to the IT infrastructure. For this reason, this device does not have a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection. The recorded power data is transferred to a company PC for further processing using an SD card and then transmitted completely independently of company networks or mobile devices. The display itself can show active power, mains voltage, current, power factor, mains frequency, kilowatt-hours, energy costs, and CO2 emissions. Maximum values can also be displayed directly on the display, for example, to record short-term power peaks. To minimize reading errors, a high-contrast EBTN display has been installed, optimized for a reading angle of 90° from the front and 170° from above, given that most power outlets are located below eye level. For convenient programming at the desk and without a power connection, the display is dimmed to a minimum. The device contains no parts subject to wear, such as rechargeable batteries or accumulators. A maintenance-free Super Cap capacitor provides up to 10 minutes of power for setting and saving schedules, electricity rates, or CO2 emissions.
