This ZWILLING knife was designed in Italy by Matteo Thun and manufactured in Germany by Zwilling JA Henckels. The unique blade shape and ergonomic bolster are the result of over 285 years of knife-making experience and rigorous study of knife use. A unique curved bolster supports the professional pinch grip, with the thumb and forefinger resting on the blade, for a secure cut with less fatigue. The entire length of the blade can be used for cutting and can be sharpened from the bolster to the tip. This santoku knife is a Japanese-style chef's knife that is perfect for most kitchen tasks. The blade shape is particularly well-suited for chopping and slicing. The Granton edge helps prevent food from sticking to the blade. The handle is made of durable and resilient polyoxymethylene (POM). Forged from a single piece of stainless steel made from a special high-carbon formula. The cold-hardened FRIODUR blade stays sharp for a long time and has superior resilience. The precision-ground blade ensures excellent angled cuts, a good edge, and high durability. The tang and handle are triple-riveted for added durability. Dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended. Made in Germany.
